I don't usually like to write in the blog posts and if I do, it's very minimal. But I felt like the first photograph in this post should have an explanation, and a reason to why I chose this one to start this off.
The photo above is the brides father, arranging flowers on the cake for his daughter. He owns Arrowhead Flowers in Arizona, and drove a van full of fresh flowers all the way from the desert to this winery in Temecula, California. On the day of his daughters wedding, him and his wife got up very early in the morning, and started cutting, arranging, displaying, and preparing the flowers for the wedding working all the way up to the ceremony. I saw this man carrying buckets of flowers, hauling carts of water, bending over to tie arrangements to the chairs, all day long, and all under the hot sun. He didn't even go back to the hotel and take a shower before walking his daughter down the aisle. Every single floral piece you see here was made by the brides parents.
Labor of Love.
